School incursions

"You are the One" childrens book and accompanying Dreaming song are suited to primary aged students. The message aligns well with social and emotional learning frameworks. I can visit your school and present the book and song at a school assembly, in the library to individual class groups, or in a classroom setting. This package includes:

* A reading of You are the One

* A listening experience of the Di Gee dreaming song

* Optional follow-up session to teach the song to students, in collaboration with classroom or music teacher.

* Arts activity Harmony Heart Tree workshops.

Song Workshop & Assembly Performance

  • Children learn and rehearse the Di Gee Dreaming Song in a fun, inclusive workshop setting

Community Festivals options

Harmony Heart Tree Workshops

  • Begin with a reading of the children’s book You Are the One, followed by a live or recorded presentation of the Di Gee Dreaming Song
  • Participants of all ages are invited to create wire and bead heart hangers featuring peace, love, and harmony symbols (red, yellow, and black beads)
  • Each hanger includes a heart tag where participants can write their hopes or intentions for a better world
  • All creations are hung on a central Harmony Heart Tree sculpture as part of a growing community art installation
  • Suitable for festivals, community spaces, and school holiday programs
  • Can be offered as a drop-in art activity or structured group sessions
  • Workshop materials provided; suitable for up to 12 participants per session

Song Workshop & Stage Performance

  • Children learn and rehearse the Di Gee Dreaming Song in a fun, inclusive workshop setting
  • Includes creative movement and basic Auslan or gesture-based participation
  • Ends with a group performance on stage, singing alongside the Harmony Heart Tree as a symbolic backdrop
